Overview

Tanzania requires deep accountability reform to rebuild public trust, ensure institutional integrity, and prevent abuse of power across all branches of government. Accountability reform should create a governance environment where leaders, security agencies, public servants, and state institutions are answerable to the law and to citizens—without exception or political shielding.
